According to Teammate Jean Labonté
“Todd Nicholson, just like Steve Yzerman, has been a great leader for many years. But the comparison does not stop there. On the ice he also brings a wealth of experience, tremendous vision and also great poise. And on top of it all, Todd will go to battle every game, on every shift, healthy or injured. He's a warrior.”
