Phoenix has the 4th largest TV market in the US. Too bad no one goes to the games, and somehow I doubt that lucrative market grabs any hockey fans.

Affluent or not, contraction is an issue that will arise again soon. Remember, business is business.

As bad it looks, the NHL does not want to leave those areas. Some of the places are very lucrative; very affluent

has been brutal in markets that shouldn't have hockey anyway. 6700 in Phoenix last night. Columbus doesn't draw. Tampa doesn't draw. Florida don't draw. Dallas doesn't draw. Atlanta doesn't draw. it's getting worse too. the league really needs to consider eliminating teams and moving a team without an arena like the Islanders to Canada.
