It's not just the slew, but penalties in general.

I will always maintain that a non call affects the game just as much as a legit whitsle.

Slews are dangerous, and I have seen a few and wondered how one of the dirtiest and cheapest plays in the game goes uncalled. It's a blemish on our sport.

Another reason why the NHL needs to get A LOT stricter. Someone is going to die on the ice one of these days.

So I am watching the Stanley Cup Finals and quite enjoying it, except for one thing that drives me crazy, the use of a SLEW FOOT!

Outside of putting your stick between someones legs and jabbing or lifting them in the KOHONAS, slew footing to me is the most dirty play and dangerous play in hockey.

Pronger nearly taken out for good literally by a cheap slew foot by Bolland. I have seen this play now much too often and someone is going to be seriously injured. When I played i watched a friend and team member break his leg and suffer a concussion from a slew foot.

It is a cowardly act, and has no room in hockey. It should be classed up there with Head Checking and spearing.

I guess if you want to end sonmeone's career quickly, go for a slew foot. Live with the knowledge that you are a coward and weasel.

Otherwise, love the playoffs.
